The History / Geography of Nerin Toth

Nerin Toth is hundreds of thousands, arguably millions of years old. Its first recorded history began over 900 years ago. King Oswald D'Arnte decreed that a geographic mapping and recording of all known history was to commence. This project consumed most of D'Arnte's life. He was over-thrown by Yelamakay El Tomath. D'Arnte lands had become El Tomath lands and Yelamakay El Tomath was crowned king. The El Tomath Kingdom was made up of the towns of Jemeroth, the location of El Tomath Keep; Medrath; Alemeir, and extended as far north as the city, Peregren. Yelamakay's reign lasted almost 50 years. Yelamakay passed and was laid to rest at the top of a distant mountain peak. His heir, Linus El Tomath succeeded him, as did Linus' heir, and his heir, and his heir. After many generations, Bram El Tomath died and his son, Sebastian, had been crowned king. Sebastian had his son who would one day be king. The scribes of Peregren classify Nerin Toth as having two periods, The Daybreak period, consisting of the time from D'Arnte's decree of recording history. The second time period is known as The Reckoning, current day.


THE DAYBREAK


999 B.R. (Before The Reckoning) -King Oswall D'Arnte of Jemeroth commissions all scribes of D'Arnte Lands to create a lexicon of the history, peoples, nature, and geography of Nerin Toth.

999 B.R. - 995 B.R. -The Dwarves of Hillkhan, BattleMead, and BattleAle enslave the Minotaur and Ogre races. The Arcane Sanctuary appears overnight.

994 B.R. - 978 B.R. -Minotaurs begin a grassroots resistance to the Dwarves. Fall of the Arcane Sanctuary.

976 B.R. - 969 B.R. -The Minotaur Uprising. Minotaurs fight for freedom against Dwarves. Many Minotaurs die. Ogres refuse to fight and are granted freedom.

968 B.R. - 949 B.R. -The elves of Kell Forest are first recorded. Princess Zoei Fantasy claims they are from a place called "The Song of Life."

949 B.R. -King Oswall D'Arnte of Jemeroth over-thrown by Yelamakay El Tomath. D'Arnte lands become El Tomathian lands. Yelamakay El Tomath was crowned King of El Tomath.

948-899 B.R. -Death of Yelamakay. Prince heir, Linus El Tomath crowned King of El Tomath.

898-890 B.R. -Death of Linus. Succeeded by Robert El Tomath. Construction of Port Io.

889-885 B.R. -Construction of Port Skell.

884-722 B.R. -The "46 Year War and Inevitable Resolution of Peace" of the riverfolk halflings and goblins occurs. Death of Robert. Succeeded by Roberto El Tomath II.

721-702 B.R. -Death of Roberto El Tomath II. Succeeded by Salem el Tomath.

701-644 B.R. -(Records Missing)

643-305 B.R. -War of the Kell Elves.

304-98 B.R. -(Records Missing)

97-59 B.R. -Wrymm's Soul Volcano erupts. Knights of El Tomath begin using sky-ships to combat piracy.

58-40 B.R. -Construction of the Mage Academy of Port Skell.

39-20 B.R. -Death of Bram El Tomath. Succeeded by Sebastian el Tomath. Pirates assume control of Port Skell.

20-1 B.R. -Birth of Kargin El Tomath. The Goblin Wars. Beginning of The Famine.

The Reckoning -The deadly plague of the undead sweeps across Nerin Toth. Countless lives are lost, and cities go into siege legislating powerful laws for entry. Piracy thrives.

1-3 A.R. (After The Reckoning) -Sarsethok decimates Jemeroth. Death of Sebastian El Tomath. Kargin El Tomath was crowned king. Tank Tallfellow, half-halfling/half-elf crowned king of the Kell Elves. Minotaurs of Azerath make peace with the city-state Peregren.

4 A.R. - Jaysil The Red Curse obtains both the red and yellow orbs. Surge and Snow Whitney are transported from Earth to Nerin Toth. Sabal aligns herself with the Elephant Men of the continent of Hindi De, Annabelle and her army of undead zombies, and the Greek deity Poisedon.

HEROES

Kargin El Tomath - King of the El Tomath kingdom and protector of Peregren, Kargin carries a guilt he shouldn't over the Fall of Jemeroth and has vowed to treat his people with the dignity and respect that his father Sebastian El Tomath did not afford them.

Captain Hellcat - Captain of the Sky Palace and it's crew, Hellcat is the scourge of the skies and is wanted by authorities from a variety of kingdoms for crimes including, but not limed to: piracy, theft, fighting, public drunkenness, public nudity, firing a canon within close range of a monastery, and is believed to have once beat a man into unconsciousness with a live squid. Extreme caution is advised when dealing with the Scourge of the Skies.

Erron Stairin - Once a simple farmer from Jemeroth, Erron watched helplessly as his family fell to the famine that crossed the land before the undead apocalypse occured. Seeking a way to end the plague and his own inner turmoil, Erron found himself in the midst of the most crucial moment in all of the realm's rich history.

Turk'en Rah'ell - Not much is known of the dark elf's history, but his light-hearted and friendly demeanor is both genuine and true, unlike his kin of the Hulderk Mountains who believe in might makes right. "Turk," as his friends call him, is an elf who left a terrible society only to find himself thrust into an even more dangerous one.

Jaysil The Red Curse - The limits of his power are of no concern to the young wizard. Jaysil, a young man who still has a few summers to go before reaching adulthood, has the intelligence and wisdom of a man one hundred years his elder. His mind being so powerful was a natural gift from birth. Along with his affinity for the arcane, Jaysil finds himself cursed in a way no one expected, shrunken to only 8-inches tall! And now he has in his possession the mysterious and powerful RED ORB which is believed to be necessary to ending the undead plague!

Pensha Castlo - Hailing from the tree-city of Ut, Pensha the burglar has found herself as the new leader of the Black Doves thieves guild as well as in the heart of the dark elf Turk'en. Pensha recently revealed she is terrified of heights.

Aldion Stormsky - Having lost too many friends as well as his leg, the once always smiling elven tailor and ropemaker for Captain Hellcat's crew has slipped into a deep depression that may be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves!

Tommy Tallfellow, Tangerine Tallfellow, Tank Tallfellow and Zoei Fantasy - Self-appointed Assistant Manager of Grettal's Magic Shoppe' and world-record holder for most times kicked out of Grettal's Magic Shoppe', Tommy was separated from his family while defending his wife, Prime Minister Zoei Fantasy, from the assassin Sabal and the great green dragon Sarsethok. Tommy may be dead. Again. It's fine. This is like the 48th time he's died. He'll be fine. His daughter Tangerine is looking for him. Tank Tallfellow, the half-elf halfling now resides with his mother Zoei in the elven kingdom of Kell as it's new king.

James, Lopex, and Bonejack - The surviving crew members of the Sky Palace were last seen crashing their sky ship into the Onsagulut Ocean as they battled the great green dragon Sarsethok.
